Debates about wellbeing in our society are always lively, especially as greater wealth and greater inequality sit side by side.
As the capacity and willingness of community and government to provide support and invest in social sustainability ebbs and flows, members of the Australian Social Policy Association (ASPA) are exceptionally well placed, not only to contribute to that debate, but to shape it.
As part of ASPA’s revitalisation the executive has decided to launch a new website and publish this newsletter as a communication channel for members and stakeholders.
I encourage you to contact the editor Rachel Scollay with any news or ideas, and to pass along to your colleagues, and encourage them to subscribe.
A strong network of social policy thinkers and doers will enhance our debates on important issues that affect all Australians.
